one day in singapore

1. the singapore flyer (completed in 2008, it was the tallest ferris wheel until the flyer in las vegas opened up in 2014)

by no means do i recommend doing singapore in only one day, but let’s say you have no other choice, you have a layover and want to see as much as you can. heres what you could hypothetically do in 24 hours.

after a fueling breakfast:

11am: wander around the botanical gardens and the orchid garden

then get lunch at either little india or china town before heading over to marina bay

(or if you’re too late for sunset, the view is still pretty)
7pm: gardens by the bay

home to over 800 species and 18 “super trees”, this part of singapore definitely looks like a tribute to the movie avatar.
8pm: satay by the bay

apparently the area has been designed to recreate the old satay club of the 1980s which i love the idea of. there are tonnes of food stalls (some are even 24 hours) where you can easily pick a bbq which is accompanied by a piquant sauce, and enjoy a picturesque view of the marina bay
